FAITH

“Faith takes posession of what the Word has provided and becomes evidence to what is unseen.”

Pastor O

Faith is not just about trusting but more about who and what you are trusting in. Faith can only begin where the will of God is known or where revelation has been shown. We can believe things based on experience, perception, our senses, and through watching others, however, this natural or carnal believing is very limited and confined only to something in the past. What happens when your limited reasoning runs out of answers for problems that are far too great to comprehend. There is a God-kind of faith that comes only from the Word of God, that causes you to believe on a supernatural level. This supernatural faith steps out in a realm where the mind is left in bewilderment at the concept of making impossibilities a reality.

Romans 10:17 identifies that this supernatural believing comes from hearing, receiving, acting upon, and doing the Word (scripture) that has been revealed to your spirit, in a consistent and perpertual fashion. The Word of God is full of power (Hebrews 4:12); it's like a bomb but it needs a detonator in order for the explosion to occur. Your faith is the trigger switch that unleashes the same supernatural potential that created the universe and everything that has, does, or ever will exist. The answers and direction you need is resting between those 66 books; it's a treasure waiting to be found. Your peace, your joy, your freedom, your deliverance, your victory, your vindication can always be found in the Word.

You might ask "if we have access to the same power in the Word that Jesus used when he walked on the earth, why do we not see the same manifestations like he saw them?" One of the amazing things about Jesus was His confidence in the Father. There was not a shadow of doubt in his mind that the Word would work for Him every single time. We have not stayed with the Word long enough until we get to know Him as a person. The Word is a person. The Word reveals the character of God, His ability and His strength.

When you read the accounts in scripture of how God did wonderous things, the Word was just giving you a glimpse into what He has the ability to do for you. Let me ask you this "who or what can stand before the Almighty, Great Jehovah God?" If He said that He would keep His Word to you and accomplish what He said, what match is your situation before God Himself? (Psalm 89:34; Isaiah 55:11) It is this confident persuasion that causes the hand of God to move on your behalf. You move from guessing and wondering if God can, to knowing that He will.
